FOREIGN STUDENT

The Academic Policy and Educational Process Coordination Office, the International Relations and Cooperation Department are responsible for the admission of foreign citizens as students to the Etugen University.

A foreigner studying at Etugen University will receive an education equivalent to the content and education standard level of Mongolia.

Admission to all levels of study will run from May 1 to November 20 of each year.

Classes in the autumn semester will begin in September and in the spring semester in January-February.

Applicants for bachelor's degree must prepare the following materials and submit them to the Academic Policy and Educational Process Coordination Office.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. Application;
  2. Passport with a copy;
  3. Full certificate of secondary education and a copy of the diploma;
  4. Photos, 3x4 size.

Materials to be submitted upon admission:

  1. Certificate of secondary education along with diplomas of all levels (original, official copy translated into Mongolian and notarized);
  2. Certified ID registered in the Ministry of Education of the country (official copy translated into Mongolian and notarized) – ONLY FOR CITIZENS OF P.R.C.;
  3. Personal application;
  4. Notarized copy of ( foreign ) passport (with translation into Mongolian, valid for more than 6 months);
  5. Medical certificate (tested for AIDS, hepatitis B, C, syphilis, tuberculosis within the last 3 months);
  6. 8 copies of 3x4 photos (taken within the last 6 months);
  7. Professor-teacher recommendation/characteristic of a student (applicable to undergraduates and doctoral students, in English and translated into Mongolian);
  8. Language test certificate (Mongolian or English);
  9. Contract for training at Etugen University;
  10. Confirmation of a tuition payment;
  11. Questionnaire form/Essay.

Student Visa and Residence Permit: Before entering Mongolia a foreign student must obtain study permission at Etugen University.

Foreign students must obtain a study visa issued at the University invitation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia.

To receive an invitation, you need to send a scan of your passport and the completed form (see below) to the e-mail of the Etugen University International Relations and Cooperation Department: (international@etugen.edu.mn).

The study permit will be issued by the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES) of Mongolia, and the visa to enter to Mongolia will be issued by the Foreign Citizens and Nationalities Department in the right of study category.

After receiving an invitation from the University, you need to apply for a single-entry study (student) visa to enter to the territory of Mongolia. To issue a visa invitation from the University, you need to prepare and send the following package of documents on the e-mail (international@etugen.edu.mn):

  1. Fill out the application form (Download from the site https://immigration.gov.mn);
  2. Make a scan of the passport (main page with a photo);
  3. Make a scan of the educational document and its notarized translation into Mongolian (Consular Office in your country);
  4. Bank statement (issued by organizations and individuals responsible for the foreign citizen education and residence).

Your documents will be sent to the authorities of the Immigration Agency of Mongolia for issuing a visa invitation. A visa to enter to the territory of Mongolia will be issued by the Immigration Agency of Mongolia.

After obtaining permission from the Immigration Agency on a visa issue, the student must apply to the nearest Consular Office of Mongolia in your country. At the same time, a foreign student must apply in advance to the Consular Office of Mongolia, where he will receive a visa.

After entering Mongolia, a foreign student must register in the International Relations and Cooperation Department within one day and in the Immigration Agency of Mongolia on-line system within 48 hours. (https://immigration.gov.mn/en/48-cagijn-brtgel/).

After the 21st day of residence in Mongolia, it is necessary to obtain an annual residence permit from the Ministry of Education and Science, Immigration Agency and in accordance with University`s Rector permission.

Materials that must be submitted to obtain a residence permit at the Immigration Agency of Mongolia:

  • Official request by inviting organization and legal entity (Must include area of study, and duration of stay in Mongolia);
  • Original copy of documents used in visa permission application (including official request letter); 
  • Residence statement by the local authority;
  • Copy of passport or relevant valid substitute (must be valid for a minimum of 180 days before your intended travel to Mongolia);
  • Other required documents include: training contract, Rector’s order for admission, certificate from the training department (transcript, attendance record), proof of tuition payment, etc.);
  • Letter of proxy is needed If someone is applying on behalf of their organization and work ID;
  • Scan of passport page with entry date sign (stamp) into Mongolia;
  • Color photos 3.5x4.5, for the last 180 days;
  • Receipt of a payment;
  • Application form.
