Representatives of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in Mongolia Visit Etugen University to Meet with Chinese Students

On March 18, 2026, the International Relations Department and the Training Policy and Coordination office of Etugen University, in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Mongolia, organized a comprehensive meeting for Chinese students currently studying at the university. This event was significant as it was the first of its kind. More than 200 students from seven different academic programs actively participated in the session. During the meeting, students received essential information and guidance regarding their safety, legal stay, and academic environment while studying in Mongolia.
The event focused on the following key areas: Ensuring Social Safety: Providing a secure environment for international students studying in Mongolia; Legal Awareness: Promoting and familiarizing students with domestic laws and regulations; Risk Prevention: Proactively preventing potential risks and challenges; Emergency Preparedness: Enhancing students' knowledge of necessary actions and measures to take during emergency situations.
The meeting was attended by key representatives from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Mongolia, who provided essential information to the students: Mr. Li Zhi — Cultural Counselor of the Embassy and Director of the China Cultural Center in Ulaanbaatar; Ms. Tuya — Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department; Officer Jaran Zurgaa — Police Liaison at the Consular Department; Mr. Wang Zizhuo — Official of the Consular Department.

Specialists in charge of international students from the International Relations Department and the Training Policy and Coordination office of Etugen University participated in organizing the event.

During the session, the representatives emphasized the importance of respecting and adhering to Mongolian laws and social order. They provided practical recommendations for preventing crimes and violations. Furthermore, the event offered detailed guidance on responding effectively to emergencies and risky situations, as well as comprehensive information on the consular assistance and services provided by the Embassy to students.
