On May 21–24, 2026, a distinguished delegation from Irkutsk State Medical University paid an official visit to our university. The delegation included Dr. Prof. L.Yu. Khamnueva, Doctor of Medical Sciences (Sc.D), Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Immunology, and Pharmacology; and Associate Prof. T.S. Krupskaya, Vice-Rector for International Relations and International Student Affairs, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, and Scientific Secretary of the Council of University Rectors of Irkutsk Oblast.

The visiting dignitaries were officially received by Dr. Prof. B. Batsereedene, Rector of Etugen University, who expressed his sincere gratitude for their visit, and engagement in collaborative discussions. The leadership exchanged views on expanding bilateral ties, focusing on developing joint research projects, shared academic initiatives, and professional and scientific partnerships. Special emphasis was also placed on promoting faculty professional development and supporting academic degree advancement. Furthermore, Associate Prof. B. Nasanbayar, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and International Relations, provided detailed information regarding the upcoming "JoPPP Mongolia 2026" international scientific conference. He extended an official invitation to the visiting institution to foster interdisciplinary networks and encourage their scientists, researchers, faculty members, and students to actively participate in the conference.
From Etugen University's side, the meeting was attended by Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs, Research, Innovation, and International Relations, alongside Heads of the Medical Departments under the School of Medicine, and specialists from the International Relations Department. The representatives from Irkutsk State Medical University delivered a comprehensive presentation on their institution's academic programs, scientific research initiatives, and international partnerships, which also featured a short institutional documentary film. Expressing full confidence in the prospective development of bilateral relations, both institutions finalized and signed the Action Plan for 2026–2027 to officially execute their collaborative activities.

Academician S. Nyamzagd, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etugen University, officially received the visiting delegation. Within the framework of the bilateral cooperation agreement and the newly signed action plan, the Chairman led discussions on launching joint research projects, fostering professional and scientific partnerships, and advancing student and faculty exchange programs. Furthermore, both sides exchanged views on sharing scientific experiences, co-hosting international academic conferences and seminars, and exchanging research publications and academic resources. During the high-level meeting, Etugen University also presented its internationally accredited academic programs to the delegation.

Within the framework of the official visit, the Russian delegation explored Etugen University’s comprehensive medical training infrastructure. They toured advanced laboratories, specialized classrooms, and medical simulation centers dedicated to the programs of health sciences, nursing, and dentistry. Furthermore, the guests were introduced to the Digital Hospital, the university's Central Swimming Pool, and the vibrant Student Development Center, highlighting Etugen's standard of providing a holistic and tech-driven educational ecosystem.

The Vice-Rectors of Irkutsk State Medical University attended Etugen University’s Commencement Ceremony 2026 as guests of honor, celebrating the official conferral of academic degrees, professional titles, insignia pins, and the medical oath-taking ceremony.
During the ceremony, the visiting dignitaries delivered a special congratulatory message from the Rector of Irkutsk State Medical University. They then personally presented diplomas, institutional insignia pins, and official medical seals to select outstanding graduates, wishing them success in their noble healthcare careers.
