On November 22, 2024, the Rector of Etugen University issued Order No. 206 to formally establish 18 professor teams across six schools and 14 departments. The directive outlined their leadership structures, research focus areas, and designated team leaders. Following this, the Deputy Director for Research, Innovation, and International Affairs, Dr. B. Nasanbayar, signed “Research Implementation and Funding Agreements for Professor Teams” with 15 of the teams on December 19, 2024, officially launching their operations.

During the contract signing ceremony, Dr. U.Tserendolgor, Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, shared her successful experience in implementing research projects. Additionally, D.Amgalanzaya, a doctoral candidate, manager of the Research and Innovation Department, and faculty member of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, shared her experience publishing two articles in Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals with impact factors (IF).

In her speech, Dr. B.Nasanbayar emphasized that the Etugen University Development Strategy: 2030 aims to bring the university’s research and innovation efforts to international standards. From 2021 to 2024, the university implemented 22 internally funded research projects, resulting in 185 academic publications. Among these, 166 were published locally, and 19 internationally, including 10 publications featured in Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals. These achievements have laid a strong foundation for the establishment of professor teams.

The professor teams are collaborative groups composed of professors, instructors, researchers, and students, all focused on specific research areas. Their primary objective is to make impactful contributions to their respective scientific and professional fields.

Under two-year contracts from December 2024 to December 2026, these 15 professor teams aim to produce 502 academic works. This includes 23 articles in Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals with impact factors, 164 monographs, 282 domestic presentations and articles, as well as books, manuals, utility model certificates, patents, and creative projects. These contributions are expected to significantly enhance the quality of education, research, and innovation at Etugen University.

The contract signing event was attended by Ts. Munguntsetseg, Director of the Training Policy and Coordination Office, B. Oyuntsetseg, Dean of the School of Nursing, L. Nyamkhuu, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, B. Orgilmaa, Dean of the School of Humanities, and S. Idertungalag, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, along with department heads and team leaders.
