His Excellency Mr. Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Mongolia, paid an official visit to Etugen University on January 16, 2026, to familiarize himself with the University’s activities.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Sonam Rigchhok, Consular and Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of India, and Mrs. T. Solongo, Interpreter of the Embassy. His Excellency was warmly received by Academician S. Nyamzagd, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etugen University, who introduced the University’s history, institutional culture, academic programs, and research activities. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Professor B. Batsereedene, Rector of Etugen University; Dr. B. Nasanbayar, Director for Research, Innovation, and International Relations; Ts. Munguntsetseg, Director for Academic Affairs; as well as the leadership of the School and Department of Medicine.

During the visit, His Excellency toured the medical training clinic, clinical skills laboratories, student development center, and swimming pool, and met with faculty members and students of the University. During the meeting, the both sides exchanged views on cooperation, including opportunities for faculty members and researchers from the Republic of India to visit Etugen University, share best practices, collaborate, and contribute to the education of students to Mongolia. His Excellency expressed that there are opportunities for further cooperation in the future.
